At Warren Township, the safety and well-being of our students continues to be our top priority. As technology continues to play an important role in how our students learn, communicate, and connect, we want to make sure our families have tools to help students develop safe, healthy, and responsible technology habits.
Through our partnership with Linewize, Warren provides internet filtering and online protections for students using Warren-issued devices. This partnership also gives our families access to Qustodio, a parent-focused tool that provides greater visibility into their child’s online activity and additional options for managing technology use outside of the school day.
In the coming days, families will receive information about activating their Qustodio account. I encourage our families to learn more about this optional resource and consider how it can support your family’s approach to technology and online safety. Additional information and instructions are included in this week’s message. You can also visit our online safety hub for more information and resources.
This week is Homecoming Week at Warren Central High School. Join us Friday, September 18, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. for the annual Warren PTA Homefest, just before the Warriors take on our westside rival, Ben Davis. Enjoy more than 30 vendors and food trucks, participate in the Fun Run, and experience the newly renovated Warrior football field and stadium! Tickets can be purchased here.
The excitement continues next weekend as part of the Indiana Black Expo Circle City Classic. Our Warren Central Warriors will face the Pike Red Devils at Lucas Oil Stadium at 2:00 p.m. The day will feature four football games, along with education and college activities, the Battle of the Bands, and Fan Fest. Come out, show your Warrior pride, and support our students and community! Tickets can be purchased here!
Also, next week, Tuesday, September 22nd, is the School Board Candidate Forum hosted by the Warren PTA Council. This forum, which begins at 7 PM, will be held in person at the Warren Education and Community Center, 975 North Post Road, and can be viewed via live stream by using this link.
Additional updates in this week’s message include information on our next FREE immunization clinic on September 24th, our upcoming Elementary and Middle School attendance boundary feedback forums on September 28th and 29th, and information on our parent teacher conferences on October 1st and 2nd.
