The Warren Central Robotics team is getting ready to take on big competition.
In just two months, The Digital Goats hope to achieve access to this spring competition season. The name of the challenge this year is called Rapid React, sponsored by the airplane company Boeing. The objective of this year’s challenge is that two alliances of three teams use their robots to collect cargo, which is just over-sized tennis balls, into high and low goals, while also climbing hanging bars.
At the current moment, The Digital Goats and every other robotics team is in build season, meaning that they’re building their robots for their individual goals. The Digital Goats have the events set, with them doing the Kokomo event as their first competition, then the Tippecanoe as their second, then the District Championship, and finally the World Championship. All of these events will be going through Friday, March 4 to Saturday, April 23.
The team themselves hopes to be able to reach the World Championship.
